The Shadow World

THE CHROMATICS ATTACK takes place in two worlds—our world and a shadow world. The people from the shadow world are actually normal human beings, who absorb so much light that they appear as shadows. In fact, their whole world—the buildings, the trees, the sky—absorbs so much light, that it appears dark.

The shadow world is also an exact duplicate of our world. Where the Golden Gate Bridge is here, it is there. Where the Empire State building is here, it is there. Where Jennifer Smith is here, she is there. If Jennifer Smith goes to visit the shadow world, she will find an exact copy of herself, except in shadow -form.

Unfortunately, the shadow world is in a bit of trouble, because it’s evaporating into nothing. You see—there is a barrier between our world and the shadow world called the In-Between Place. This barrier is dark and scary. It’s filled with nothing but vapor and empty space, and it is dissolving on the shadow world side. Where it disintegrates, shadow buildings evaporate into it. Whole sections of the country have disappeared into the In-Between Place.

Because their country is being destroyed, some shadow-people want to come to our world, and take their duplicate’s place. Who could really blame them—their world is falling apart. If they didn’t murder their duplicates, maybe we’d be nicer to them. If there weren’t issues with the balance of the universe, maybe they could all come over.

So that’s why we need to stop them!

Talk about abstract. No doubt a genius my dear. But the Universe and galaxies are a little more complex than optical illusions if you ask me.
